Prepare to Take Possession
Prepare, upon successful completion of acquisition
negotiations, take possession at agreed time and place, according to agreed
terms.
My deal was complicated because we needed to work around Doc’s schedule, selling his house and preparing for his move, while at the same time I was doing some business travel, plus I needed to get the trailer registered and pick up license plates, and I needed to work with my neighbor’s schedule too, so that he could go with me to pick up the boat. It turned out that Doc’s realtor was the one who needed to let us into the garage on pick-up day, because Doc and family had moved in the meantime. We eventually got it all worked out, but there were a lot of phone calls made before we were ready to go take possession.
